Life maps: rules or guidelines?

Do you rely on maps to show you the way? Not just the type that guide you from A to B, but the personal and spiritual maps which influence your choices and relationships. Do you always follow the directions? Or is life more interesting when you throw caution to the wind?

As social beings, relationships are important for us. We need to have people in our lives that we can count on. Sometimes they are hard to find and not everyone will be our underwear sister (or indeed underwear brother, or underwear person).
